Their mouths are filled with sharp teeth, so anglers must use wire leaders to prevent cut-offs. Trolling is a primary method for catching kings, using deep-diving plugs, feathered jigs, or live bait like Spanish sardines or mullet. When you feel that distinctive 'tap-tap-tap' followed by a violent strike, you know a King Mackerel is on the line. They are also a fantastic fish for the table.
